Haul-In Event Policies & FAQs
Please review all event policies before purchasing your ticket. By purchasing a ticket and participating in the haul-in, you agree to follow all Mt Hood Center rules and staff instructions.
Event Policies:
Registration & Admission
One registration is required for each horse/rider combination. Registration is valid only for the date purchased and is non-transferable. Liability WaiverAll riders and participants must have a current signed Mt Hood Center liability waiver on file before participating. Minors must have a waiver completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Refunds or credits will not be issued for weather, inability to attend, horse-related issues, early departure, or unused riding time.
Helmets & Rider Safety
ASTM/SEI-approved riding helmets are strongly recommended for all riders and required for anyone under 18. Riders participate at their own risk and are responsible for choosing activities appropriate for their experience level and their horse.
Horse Health
Please bring only horses that are healthy and safe to be around other horses. Horses showing signs of contagious illness should not be brought onto the property.
Parking & Tying Horses
Please park trailers only in designated areas and follow staff directions when arriving. Horses may not be tied to trailers in the gravel parking area. A designated area is available for tying and tacking up.Horses may not be left unattended while tied. If you are bringing multiple horses and need a secure place for a horse while riding another, stall rentals may be purchased separately, subject to availability.
Stall Rentals
Guests renting a stall must bring their own shavings and completely clean the stall before leaving. Additional charges may apply if a stall is left dirty or damaged.
Arena & Trail Course Etiquette
This is an open-practice environment with riders and horses of different experience levels. Please ride courteously, maintain a safe distance from other horses, and be aware of your surroundings. Do not monopolize obstacles or areas of the arena when others are waiting. Staff may restrict access to an obstacle or area at any time for safety or facility conditions.
Children & Guests
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Spectators and non-riders must remain in designated areas and stay clear of horses, riding areas, and trailer traffic.
Dogs & Other Pets
Dogs must remain leashed and under control at all times. Please clean up after your pets. Dogs are not permitted to interfere with horses or riders.
Clean-Up
Please clean up after your horse and yourself. Manure, hay, garbage, and other waste must be placed in designated areas. Help us leave the facility as clean as you found it.
Right to Refuse or Remove
Mt Hood Center reserves the right to refuse participation or ask any participant to leave for unsafe riding, mistreatment of an animal, disruptive behavior, failure to follow facility rules, or creating an unsafe environment. Removal from the event does not qualify for a refund.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a ticket for each horse? Yes. One ticket is required for each horse/rider combination participating in the haul-in.
Can I bring more than one horse? Yes. Each participating horse needs its own registration. If you need somewhere secure for an additional horse while you ride, we recommend adding a stall rental.
Can I tie my horse to my trailer? No. To protect our gravel parking areas and keep trailer traffic safe, horses may not be tied to trailers. Please use the designated tie/tack-up area or reserve a stall.
Do I need to bring my own tack and equipment? Yes. Riders are responsible for bringing their own tack, equipment, water buckets, and anything else needed for their horses.
Is this a guided ride or lesson? No. Haul-In is an open-practice opportunity, not a lesson or guided ride. Riders work independently and at their own pace.
What riding disciplines are welcome? All disciplines and experience levels are welcome as long as riders can safely control their horses and respectfully share the facility with others.
What happens if it rains? The event will generally continue as scheduled, with facility areas available depending on weather and ground conditions. Certain outdoor areas or obstacles may be closed if conditions are unsafe.
Are tickets refundable if I can’t attend? No. All registrations and add-ons are non-refundable and non-transferable.
